From 2023 to 2025, I also owned all technical marketing content until the scope grew to require a dedicated hire. This included:

Technical Writer | June 2021 - December 2022

As the dedicated technical writer for Terraform and Packer, I owned the documentation end to end. Major projects included:

  • CDK for Terraform: I led the engineering team through a complete documentation restructure and migrated the content from GitHub to the Terraform documentation site. This included reorganizing existing content as well as identifying and filling content gaps.

  • HCP Packer: I planned, developed, and delivered this documentation set from start to finish to support both the beta and General Availability (GA) HCP Packer launches. While designing the documentation, I provided usability feedback to the engineering team.

  • Versioned Documentation: Led a cross-functional initiative to deliver versioned documentation for 7 Terraform products, managing requirements, rollout planning, stakeholder communication, and UX feedback.

Aurora Innovation

Technical Copywriter | Jul 2019 – Jun 2021 (promoted to Communications Manager, Mar 2021)

  • Partnered with 10+ engineering leads to develop a weekly internal newsletter demystifying technical progress for a 1600+ person company.
  • Led content development for company-wide All Hands meetings, including shaping key messages, refining slides, and coaching presenters.
  • Researched and wrote public blog posts and social media copy about Aurora’s self-driving technology.
  • Documented autonomy software modules, including “Atlas Engineering 101,” a primer on how Aurora’s self-driving maps were built.
